The Rampart Garden and the  Jardin
                              2023

January saw Juan and Jacqu cutting trees down below the kitchen balcony.......not without its challenges...... unlike golf where a shout of "four" is enough ........ a shout of  "timber" does not negate working out where the tree will fall. Fortunately these were small trees

My job was to tidy up

Log splitting was undertaken with an axe rather than the mechanical splitter

We have now had rain everyday for 2 weeks - some very heavy

all of last year

The pears and figs were bounteous this year

As were tomatoes

The end of the year saw one tree coming down in the mistral and I cut down a second dead one. It was very tall and it was necessary to get the angle of fall correct  - it came down perfectly.
