We became the proud owners of Ceci and Duci on the 4th February

we first saw them when they were 2 weeks old and then once a week until we collected them at 2 months

We picked them up on  4th February and after a visit to the vet they came home and quickly settled in - the stairs posed a challenge - longer legged Ceci made it but for shorter legged Duci there is always tomorrow

In April they are now 5 months old and have become well known and loved in the village. Here they are with our neighbour Abel and me having to get them back from our Jardin neighbour Claude. They are being prepared for the first car trip back to the UK later this month

Rediscovering Painting

As a person who started my 6 form studies doing 4 A levels  Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Art I thought that I could combine the arts and sciences . I was quickly summoned to the head masters office and told to stop Art ……..no one in Welsh Grammar Schools did such things apparently  ! I of course being a “good” pupil ceased doing it – a decision that I regretted ever since and so 50 years later I am beginning to correct my mistake and incorporate it into my new balanced work portfolio in France

There  are so many subjects

We created a video of the trip highlights

We stayed longer than anticipated  -  6 weeks  - in order to get our  2 Covid jabs. We returned to find some new guests had taken up residence in Tercia's studio.

The rampart garden looked unkempt and the the jardin now  looked like a jungle.

The new residents were transferred to a more appropriate home by experts.  and we made a new  entrance for the petit chiens  to access the rampart garden

We managed to return to the UK for the christmas period despite Covid uncertainty. Our celebrations started in the reform club (as I had just become a member) and continued with the family on  pre-Christmas, Christmas day and post-Christmas gatherings
