In Spring 2021 we built cycle and tool sheds on the rampart

We have explored building a swimming pool in the rampart  garden but it is not possible because of the instability of the ground. So while exploring plan B we have an installed an over ground plunge pool.

We also identified that we own the west bank as well as the east bank of the stream running though the Vallet Gours de Jacques

......it is a long story but when we discussed the jardin with our neighbour Claude Faure he told us that our shared boundary ran through the middle of the ruined  bassin - ie we only  had  shared access to the water. However he said that we could buy his half for 1 euro......... together with a lovely mulberry tree. Despite his good will It took 6 months plus a Surveyor and a Notaire to complete the deal. This piece of land about 25 metres square now has its own Cadastre reference. In checking the boundaries after a lovely visit to the notaire to sign the deeds we perused the maps a little more carefully. We  realised that our land was not bounded by the stream but extended over into what we originally thought was Mr Champlong's property. We cordially agreed a boundary and Alexis returned to clear the bank and a huge dead tree stump. we are now planning a new water side vista. Tercia has started to strim the new banks.

Because of our extended 6 week stay in the UK in May and June 2021 to get our 2 doses of Covid vaccine the jardin was a jungle when we returned. We eventually found the fruit trees and got Rudolph to cut the grasses and nettles with his tractor. Alexis returned to cut down some more dead and damaged trees after the latest mistral. Despite only being able to plant in June we managed a few vegetables and flowers before returning to the UK in September. We also planted spring bulbs for the new year.
